Protected by a tranquil lagoon in a private island and just 15 minutes by boat from the main Unguja (Zanzibar) Island.  With staff and guests as the only human inhabitants on the Island, Mnemba offers a privacy and exclusivity unparalleled on the African coastline.

NUMBER OF ROOMS & DESCRIPTION:
Mnemba Island Lodge has 10 secluded cottages build from natural palm matting, timber and thatch. The cottages have en-suite bathrooms, and a private verandah overlooking the lagoon.

RESTAURANTS & BAR:
Thatched dining and sitting/bar areas have beautiful open views of the beach and spectacular coral reefs beyond. Baskets of fresh fruit, fish, lobsters, crabs and prawns are sailed into Mnemba daily on traditional ngalawa outriggers, and prepared as exotic delicacies. Lunch is usually served on large wooden carved Zanzibar platters heaped with delicious mezze (fingerfood). Romantic candle-lit dinners are enjoyed on the beach with the waves gently lapping at your feet. Private beach dinners are often enjoyed by honeymooners.

OTHER FACILITIES & SERVICES:
While relaxation is the hallmark of Mnemba, a variety of sea sports are also offered on the Island including windsurfing, water-skiing, fly and deep-see fishing and scuba diving.
